Ten Plus One was born out of a conversation – a moment of reflection between two men, grappling with the silent weight of isolation.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, during one of the most disconnected times in recent memory, Benton Grant and Robert Samuels reflected on the impact of restrictions, disconnection, and the quiet struggles men often face alone. They spoke honestly about how the isolation wasn’t just physical – it was emotional, mental, and spiritual.
That conversation sparked a truth:
Men need each other
We thrive in connection. We grow through accountability. We lead better when we’re not alone. So they wrote down ten names – ten men they respected, ten men they believed in, ten men they knew needed community just as much as they did.
That list became a table.
That table became a circle.
That circle became a brotherhood.
